Ah! - but you were a boy, not a girl: only a 15 years daughter 
traditionally receive a '15' party or travel (sometimes both ... !!).
Certainly, I don't remember what did my two sisters receive for their 
respective 15 birthday - not a party, I'd remember that: and my parents 
could not afford anything too expensive during 1978 - 79.

But my daughter is my only child, and she's doing really-really well at 
school <proud dad> :)
