The CPU fan must be plugged into the CPU fan header/socket on the
motherboard. Most MB's have 3 or 4 sockets to power various other fans
some of which might be enabled in BIOS in order to control them. Check
the MB documentation. Otherwise with an adaper pigtail you can simply
tap into any power cable coming out of the power supply itself which are
used to power drives. The kind you are looking for come in 3 flavors,
small for floppy drives, larger for IDE harddrives or DVD's etc. or the
newer SATA power connectors. Make sure your power supply is big enough
before adding a bunch of load.
