For my part, I wish it had not been requested, as I had had the impression
that comments made on the list were restricted to the list circulation (save
for the obvious limitation that they could be forwarded at will). Since the
list has been nabbled, comments are effectively open to the world (whether
list-subscribers or not) to see thanks to the nabble-google combination.
