It took me a while to get my hands on one, local shops didnt want to carry one
on hand and wanted me to pay 100% in advance for a bag I hadn't even seen, but
now I have been using it for about 6 months, and havent posted about it.

I thought I should, I'm off tomorrow morning again for another road trip and
this time actually taking the Oly and laptop in the Tamrac adventure 9. I cant
say enough about how happy I am with this bag. Laptop, camera and computer
power cables, cat5 cable for internet, 3 lenses and hoods, Oly FE-115 in a
small bag, P*nt*x film P&S, 5 rolls of film, 3 pairs eyeglasses, water bottle,
couple wiping cloths, 4 memory cards 3 filters, and I used an extra strap and
put the monopod onto the side with the handle in a waterbottle net, the tripod
on the underside on 2 straps.

On the whole, I love this bag for my packing back and forth to my jobs in the
arctic camps, and for road trips where I am going to be leaving the vehicle for
a couple hours, hiking to spots that I want vantage points etc...

It needs a few modifications, I'll eventually get around to..Mostly outlined
below.. I'll do my own modifications.. (I even bought an industrial sewing
machine to do it with)

Cut and paste below is a couple recommendations I sent to tamrac on this bag..

There is a
serious need for a fly cover for harsh weather conditions. The nylon on
this bag is a bit thin, and could have gone to a 1000 denier for a more
rugged use. waterproofing is a real essential item for a trekking bag
like this.

The zippers on the pack for the lower camera compartment and
the upper carry compartment should all be like the waterproof zipper
that is on the laptop compartment.

There should be 5 more strap attachments on this unit, 1 top center and 2 on
each side.

One mesh ( water bottle) compartment is adequate. The other
side ( left side when carrying it on back) could have a full zippered,
expandable pouch that I can stuff the end of my tripod or monopod in
and then use the 2 additional strap attachments on the side to strap
the monopod down.

The removable compartment in the upper zipper compartment is
very nice, but I dont like the entire thing in plastic, and the
attachment is rather awkward. I would like to have 3 more detachable
compartments in this zipper compartment above the one currently
installed.

The Top carry handle should be beefed up a bit, thicker, stronger nylon
strapping and a more comfortable handle.

Detachable padded waist strap with a couple small zipper compartments on each
side so I can stuff batteries and memory cards.

Cheers.. Timothy-Keith: Randles
