I think Olympus has lost an early opportunity to sell me an E-3. I
cannot find one in the Portland, Oregon metro area.
I will not mail-order such a thing sight-unseen, but have a pretty
good idea that the first place to actually put one in my hands to play
with would have made the sale. Oregon has no sales tax, and no
shipping if you're there at the store, thus no incentive to mail-
order. Yet, there's no opportunity to handle one. What gives?
This either means 1) that they are selling like hotcakes, sight-
unseen, so no one sees the need to stock them, or 2) dealers aren't
willing to stock this item for some other reason.
Either way, it's lost sales opportunity. I'll wait until I can handle
one. Maybe they'll be cheaper then.
