I wondered the exact same thing. Potts was no hyped up wunderkind but just 
someone who had a dream and put his best foot forward. Like the man from 
Atlanta, Georgia he must have said to himself "I Have a Dream" and he 
followed just that to success. It's must be a prime example that if one has 
faith in oneself that one can go far.
