That would be weird if it was since I've never traveled with any of the
films this has happened with. The kodak films were bought and used locally
and the Efke I ordered from Freestyle with delivery by FedEx or UPS (I
forget which) and those guys don't X-Ray shipments do they?
But you're right it does look like that, which is why it's so vexing to me.
Another possibility that some have suggested was too much agitation during
developing. I've heard of that happening but never seen it before (unless
that's what I'm now seeing!). I had not developed film for a couple years
when I started shooting black and white film again about 6 months ago. Had
been shooting all digital or using C-41 black and white films before that. I
thought I was agitating the same as I did all the years I did my own
processing before but maybe not? Also I'm in Santa Fe now instead of
Indiana. The elevation here is 7000 feet, while the part of Indiana I was in
was only a couple hundred feet above sea level. I wonder if the elevation
affects the chemistry and the amount of agitation needed? It affects cooking
and baking, maybe it affects developing? I know I never had this happen till
after I moved out here!
