They've just brought out version 2 of the 16-35mm and it has much
better edge sharpness I believe. Certainly it's selling at a premium
until the older model is run out. As to the primes - there's the new
50mm f1.2. The fast Canon 85mm and 135mm are lust objects but they've
been around for a while.
