This image was taken at Marconi Beach as we were walking toward the Marconi
Station Site. The Station Site was the location of the Marconi Wireless
Station where the first transmission and reception of radio messages across
the Atlantic occurred in 1903. All that remains of the original site are
bits of the original foundation and markers where two of the 4 towers
stood. The original site was 165 feet back from the sand cliff though
today, more than half of the site has fallen victim to erosion.
