I suspect Alex found himself holding a lot of high priced inventory.
He had out-bid me on 5 or 6 zuiko 80/4 lenses. For awhile he was
buying an incredible amount of Olympus equipment. I can't even imagine
how he would be able to sell it in any reasonable amount of time. I
wouldn't be surprised if he went bankrupt. That would be a shame. He
added "color" to the yabe landscape.
I've been buried with work so I could have missed a lot of yabe action
but the only US reseller that seems to be active lately is Kiwi
Chrissy aka Mroulet(?).
I saw a short internet news page listing the top 10 worst investors.
There was I believe a Japanese man who had tried to corner the copper
market. He must have thought he could do better than the Hunt brothers
did with the silver market. I didn't see Alex listed ;-)
