I commented to that manager that this restriction on manuals was 
clearly intended top capture all the repair income.  He said 
something bland to the effect that I could believe that if I wanted 
to.  I do believe that, actually.

Anyway, I have a question:  The hot shoe has a number of contacts. 
What do they all do?  Can the e500 deal with high-voltage (300v on 
the trigger contacts) flash units?  The users manual is silent.
