I have one of the late 35mm shifts, LNIB.
The coating on this lens is different, and with mine it has a 
purple-greenish color.
The lens serial is the best way to know, it should read over 11X.XXX 
for the later version, assuming the ring wasn't replaced.

On the lens mount it just reads "japan" on mine, on the inside there is 
the following code: TNQA.

That's all I know.
