I don't know if you are aware but early C-2100UZ suffered from Sudden
Death Syndrome (SDS). It was something to do with the batteries dying
when the camera was powered on. Unfortunately it rendered the camera as
useful as a house brick for taking pictures after that.
Mine suffered this fate about 2 months out of warranty. Olympus UK
initially denied knowing anything about it, but when I pointed them at
numerous discussions on the internet about it, they fixed it for free
and once fixed it will not suffer the same fate again.
Having said that, there is no way I'll be parting with my 2100UZ anytime
soon. It may be only 2.1 megapixels but it is still one of the very few
ultra zooms to have an optical image stabilizer.
