Propped my elbows on the table and hoped for the best....
The scans as they came from Ivey were pretty flat--scanned, as machine scans
are, for 50% grey. The blacks were really noisy. I had to darken them up
quite a bit, and set the black point further to the right, to get the blacks
blacker and get rid of the speckles. Cropped them both too. I'm going to
have a go at scanning them on my Epson 3200, see how that works....
