The controversy over thymerosol and autism even made its way into entertainment
television programing this past year as the principal character in "The
Shield," Vic Mackay, and his wife, who have two autistic children, weighed the
possibility of suing the drug manufacturer. Life imitates art, and vice versa.
Really good series, by the way, if you like cop shows. Anybody who liked "NYPD
Blue" will dig "The Shield." Great cast, now including Glenn Close in addition
to Michael Chiklis.
