Well, I just tried to shoot my daughter's dance recital with the Tamron
35-105/2.8 (on an OM body of course). Checking it out beforehand, I
discovered to my puzzlement that it would only focus closer between 1 and
about 2.6m! That is, the lens won't rack back in for distant focus.
This is constant over the zoom range, and the "obstruction" feels solid -
like hitting a stop that's supposed to be there.
Has anyone ever seen this before?

P.S. Fortunately I'd brought a 28mm as well.
