[OM] How do I repair The Sign

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I cam repair the defects in my Olympus sign?

These links show more detail than mere words can provide. The damage appears to 
have been caused by the tape which holds the message in place peeling off with 
old age. And taking some paint with it. Do I replace with "mirror" paint or ???
