There have been a few traps for the unwary raised on this thread:

David's spotted listing is for the first edition of the SIF (with multi-ring
binder)
Bill's is for the second edition (with three ring binder)
Another first edition example was offered onlist in mid March

I know that from time to time there were additions to the second edition, as
I have two separate contents pages, only one of which includes most of the
last release of lenses (but it excludes the 3Ti body) - presumably it was
the same for the first. Make sure you are getting what you want!

The first edition is included in the CD version of eSIF. It is not included
in the online versions of eSIF, as far as I know. Yes, I also have eSIF on
my HD - but the paper version is easier to browse.

Shipping from UK can be expensive as soon as you break the 2kg barrier, and
my SIF weighs 2.3kg, but the same applies to shipments from US (I was quoted
USD32/air, USD23/surface to ship the onlist example to UK). The beauty of
the SIF is that you can split it into two <2kg shipments, which would be
cheaper than one overweight shipment (I estimate about GBP25 vs GBP33, both
airmail).

Regardless of what they taught you in scouting, this is how you start a
fire. Now I'll see if I can start an Olympus ebay fire.

IMHO, the best resource for things Olympus OM and then some is the "Olympus
Sales Information File," which is/was the resource material for Olympus
dealers. I got mine several years ago from a dealer who no longer was
handling OM gear. Imagine that! Definitive answers to many of the
questions inquiring minds want to know about are found in this loose leaf
manual.

ebay item #7512770535 is just such a manual. Check it out. Whoever ends
up
with this will be happy (actually a little more than happy).

Do I need to say that although I may just be a guy with an opinion, I also
happen to be a guy who has most of the other reference/how to books about
Olympus OM stuff in addition to having an opinion? This one is a dandy.
No, mine isn't for sale and they don't show up very often.

Let the sniping begin. [8^) Bill Barber
