Try this:

Navigate to your Windows directory (folder), then System32 below/within
that. You should find a folder called "drivers" in system32. In the
drivers folder you should find a folder called "etc" which should
contain a file named "hosts."

The hosts file for windows works like *nix hosts files, in that it may
contain a list of IP addresses and site names. A sample line would look
like this:

38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

Which would normally serve to tell your system the proper IP address for
a specific host (everything after the # is a comment). Values should be
multiple-space or tab separated.

Open the file with Notepad, enter a line for a site you DO NOT want to
be able to reach as so:

127.0.0.1 tribalfusion.com # PITA
advertising pop-ups

Then save the file, and mark it "read only" in file properties so other
applications cannot change it. 127.0.0.1 is IP shorthand for "my
computer" effectively, and this will cause any references made outbound
from your machine to the listed site to be "looped-back" to your own
machine. No more ads from that location. While this isn't effective with
all methods that other sites may use to redirect advertising, it works
quite well for a great many of them.

Caveats: You must use a text-only editor on hosts. You must ensure it
does NOT have a .txt extension added in the process of saving the file.
Errors in entry can cause you to be unable to reach sites you want to
reach. Errors are easily repairable, however, just edit the file again
and place a # at the beginning of any suspect line, thus converting the
line to a comment. There's no limit to the size of the file (as far as I
am aware), just add one line per problem host/site.

Spybot Search & Destroy uses precisely this method (if you've turned it
on via Spybot S&D's "Advanced" features) in order to block problem
sites.

Always while loading the same thing, waiting for something from
tribalfusion.com, which is an ad broker or somesuch, I believe.

Bloody inconvenient.
