I happen to like to use metal slip-on lens caps. I can put
them on by feel. If they fall off, you can hear them hitting
the floor. [except on carpeting or grass]
I find the easiest 49mm ones to find are Pentax, typically of
a vintage that came with screw-mount lenses. They also
confuse casual strangers that want to talk about your camera -
especially "Honeywell Pentax" ones.
