The answer depends on what is causing the haze. If it is oil, the
lens could be professionally cleaned and should be none the worse. If
however it is fungus, it could be cleaned but the coating may be damaged. In
either case, the price of professional cleaning would likely exceed the cost
of buying another 50/1.4.
My advice would be to use the lens until the performance is
degraded, then replace it.
