That would be so if sunlight is coming from behind.
If shooting against a powerful light source, at a certain angle and at a
distance a little longer than needed to see the whole screen, light reflects
on both surfaces of a diverging lens, increasing the amount of entering
light. The low profile pentaprism of the 1 and 2 doesn't help in casting
enough shadow on the glasses, I often need to use my left hand. And I find
an eyecup to be more cute then any sort of hat :^)
