Larry,
Sounds like a lithium battery. As far as I know, it won't hurt the
camera but it is the wrong choice. Toss it in the can and get two Eveready
357's or SR-44's (just be sure to get two silver oxide batteries).

Subject: [OM] OM-2n Battery Question

I just received an OM-2n that I purchased on eBay. I opened up the battery
compartment and found that instead of two button batteries it had a single
DL1/3N 3 volt battery. Was this a common conversion for these cameras. I
didn't get many hits on the battery name and am wondering if it is still
made.
