I recently bought a new computer, and I seriously considered a Mac. until I
looked at prices, that is. As much as I hate Windows, and XP in particular, It
would have cost about three times as much as the custom built one I have.
I do think that the day will come when the Mac is dead as a general commercial
product. I suspect that it will become a product marketed exclusively to
graphics professionals, where the cost is on the business.
