You should have Mark Dapoz list your comarea on his great OM-1 list at
http://olympus.dementia.org/M-1/.
Mark and I have had several discussions about M-1/OM-1 serial numbers, It
appears that the bottom plates for the early cameras were not used in any
particular order - perhaps they were thrown in a large bin and puled out at
random. The oldest OM-1 I have has a serial number of 124xxx and was made
in March 1973, near the beginning of OM-1 production.
This serial number is lower than any of my M-1s (the oldest dating from
October 1972) and lower than my brother's M-1 made in September 1972.
Go figure...
