Not entirely clear if you understood Bill was proposing that everyone paid a
comparable percentage of their income. If the rich are paying a lower
percentage now they will pay more not less as Bill believes. Perhaps you
both believe in the same end result.
Defining income is a problem. Salaries don't normally make the rich richer.
Salaries are easily taxed and what keep all but the rich families going.
