Kirkcaldy is indeed the birthplace of linoleum - Nairn, for example, the
original manufacturer, was from Kirkcaldy (not Nairn!). And the birthplace
of Adam Smith. As Fife is the birthplace of golf!

Does Gary mean to say that you enjoyed a layover in Kirkcaldy, Fife? Wasn't
that the home to one or more linoleum manufacturers that pumped out
obnoxious smoke and fumes.

Better to have been on the south shore of the Firth of Forth with one's OM
taking in places such as North Berwick and a round of golf at the Muirfield
links at Gulane just down the road.

Oh, for past memories.
