After 500+ transactions i guess the odds were bound to catch up with me.
Luckily it was for a small sum and so the lesson was cheaply learned. I
will share my experience with the system so someone else doesn't have to
go through it. The short version of the story is that i bought what was
supposed to be an Adaptall 2 for OM but it turned out to be for a Ricoh
mount with an Oly cap forced on it. After many emails the seller denied
it despite photos for proof. I filed complaints with *bay and P*yPal.
This was totally a waste of time. Despite the assurances of a "safe
harbor" they made no effort to do anything. Be warned that P*yPal offers
none of the protections of a credit card purchase. Especially for small
purchases and those directly from a bank account. Hence I will no longer
accept P*ypal payments unless i am absolutely sure of the integrity of
the purchaser. I now see that this seller is rapidly acquiring negatives
for similarly misrepresented auctions. Currently at 31 negatives and
still doing business. I see that he is giving vile retalitory negatives
even for neutral feedback. I also see that he has quite a few mutually
withdrawn negatives which leads me to believe that he has intimidated
others. In any event, I waited until the last minute of the suposed 90
day limit to leave a negative but it turns out there is no 90 limit and
so i now have my own nasty negative. My wife wants me to go through the
process to mutually withdraw the feedback. But i hate to see the scumbag
walk, how can the system work if you can't leave honest feedback? What
do you all think?

By the way the seller is, wehave1. beware!
