Given the movement and capacity issues on standing on an SUV roof, how about
just carrying a 6' or 8' stepladder and finding a way to attach your current
'pod to the ladder? That would also give you a little more flexibility if you
couldn't get the SUV exactly where you wanted it, and the self-rightous
environmentalists would be more likely to leave you alone.
