I'd like to add:

Having  the shutter open until enough light reaches the film is a good,
ensuring that you'll get a printable image.

However, there are many situations that you need not use a tripod like when
shooting a wedding.  Well, it's no use complaining. If you like the OM2 you
have to live with its imperfections.
