Yes, the 14-54 is a very close-working lens.  I use the 90/2 when I want longer 
working distances, it works like a dream.

I use S-AF+MF as the default setting, so that in Single AF mode, I can tweak 
the focus.

I've configured the AEL button the same for all modes, so that it acts like the 
OM-4's memory button, locking the exposure until I turn it off.  I found mode 3 
less-than-useful.

Yes, it would be nice to have a mode like on the Contax 645 where you hit a 
button, and the camera focuses, then you can tweak the focus to your heart's 
content with the MF ring.

I've not done this, but the WB can be fooled, as today, when I was shooting a 
soccer game where I was in sunlight, and the subject was in shadow.  The shots 
came out very, very blue, as the E-1 over-compensated for the incident light 
falling on the camera.

I've never had this problem, Maybe it's just you?  :-)
