No, they were made in both editions.
I've seen 2 SNs - and a hundred and one BNs. My 50/1.4 is multicoated.
I prefer it to the 50/1.8 - slightly faster, slightly bigger, slightly
sharper (to my eye), prettier boke. Can't recommend them enough.
