May be not, check the test report of all the compact DCs, most of them
didn't have or only have slight amount of chroma at the center and almost
all of them has quite higher amount of chroma at the corners, it should be
lens related. While the chroma of 90/2 is at the center, I believe the
problem was came from the lens itself.

When we use film we may not always check every details especially with small
prints, now with digital we examine the details in 1:1 or larger on monitor,
it is very easy to found out any small imperfection. Anyone notice the
chroma on XA? I didn't only after last year I posted a shot here and someone
point this out. I also didn't notice and can't believe there is chroma on my
favorite Zuiko 180/2.8 until many list members mentioned this problem and I
did the chroma test.

Olympus is quite famous in chroma, when I seen the serious chroma on my over
US$700 C2000, I can't believe it. I just though it was due to the CCD, when
I found other DC has less chroma and I knew I was wrong. I was also very
disappointed with my over $1500 E-10, there was also chroma with the "ED"
zoom.
