Gang:

     I think I have this e-mail thing down.  I tried sending a message 
yesterday but it must of gotten lost.

     I was asking about using an aftermarket or competitor's flash via hot shoe 
or sync cord.

      The answer seems to be that I could fry the camera because of voltage 
spikes.    Studio lights might not be a problem due to being sync cord 
adaptable.
