Hi gary,
My 28-85 kinda does zoom if you push/pull it, but I don't think it was
supposed to be done this way. The action of doing it that way is very stiff,
and not
equal from the beginning to the middle of the zoom range. It is also a very
short "throw" this way, too short to be of real use.
There is a zoom ring, so I'm sure that's what's supposed to be used.
