An interesting read Terry - and possibly not OT. Over here in UK the MoD
have been selling off quantities of OM4Ti new and unused from storage. Some
have ended up on that auction site, where one seller describes them as
having been intended for use as periscope cameras on a now-scrapped class of
submarine. It makes you wonder...

Of course you are quite correct Garry. All taken with the 1n, my personal
spot meter (I carry it everywhere - it never leaves my hand) and K64.

And no slide scanner. Hence my earlier question about scanners and
Kodachrome.

It does look quite strange - a submarine by the side of the road in rural
inland Australia. The kids love it. Climbing all over it. A pity it is only
the outer shell. The full interior is very interesting. A friend married a
Lieutenant (pronounced Leftenant for our US friends) who was on the subs and
we got a look through one. Fantastic.
Another mate was on them when they would follow Russian ships and take
photos. I asked him if they ever went into another country's waters, and his
reply was "That 3 mile limit is awful hard to see under water".

Foxy - and don't call me surly!

Very interesting articles. I did notice that most of it is by private
donation. But surly Foxy, couldn't YOU have done better on the photos? Some
creative OLY wide angles and close-ups would be more interesting than those
with the articles~ at least it would've enhanced my interest.

An speaking of donations, since your thongless, do we have to take up a
collection from the list membership? }:^)> }:^))>

I think we are all taking our periodic break from all things OM. I'm more
than confident that , in a few days, we'll be back "on topic". We always do
return to the OM fold.
