 What is THIS thread about. Were the Oms designed and manufactured in
the U.S. by an American company which has now gone overseas? Come on,
folks, unless one thinks photography is defined by the Retina Reflex or
the Brownie, there hasn't been a serious camera made in the U.S. since
the 1950s, or perhaps even the 40s. Leica, Contax, Hassleblad,
Voightlander, Rollei, Minolta, Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Miranda, etc. etc.
etc., and we have the 'independent' lens manufacturers. 

Camera design and manufacturing has been dominated by the Germans and
the Japanese since...well since well before most of us were born.
