I was looking for a different composition because the light was too
bright for any other shots of the lake. Then all of a sudden the clouds
moved just right, dimmed the sunrise and I got two shots before it
changed again. This was the better composition. The lake were it was
shot can be seen at www.rodplanck.com click on >Gallery, then
>Landscapes, then >'view more landscape photographs'. The upper right
panorama is the same lake. Mine was shot from further to the right with
a 180/2 and 1.4x a teleconverter? This was in Upper Penisula of
Michigan. Certainly a magical place for photography (with plenty of
mosquitos helping you with your concentration).
