$200 seems a good price. To judge from an off-list exchange with a listee
who bought the old version three weeks ago, the B6FH hood designed for the
newer lens fits both old and new lenses, allowing use of 82mm filters. You
maybe want to think about whether the filters built in to the old lens are
the filters you would choose to use. I think they are UV, 80B?81B?and Y2.

I don't notice anything plasticy about the new lens - sure, there is a clear
plastice panel covering the focus/DoF panel, but this is a solidmetal-
chassis lens we are talking about, which actually weighs more than the old
lens - 320 vs 270 gm.

The hood price Walt quoted is consistent with the price I paid the UK
importer for one a few months back. BUT there is one "you know where" -
#2945356399 - which has no bids so far at $14.99. Don't tell anyone!

I can't tell you anything about the older one with the built-in
filters, but I do have the newer version. I am well pleased with
it and its performance. It comes in handy on those occasions when
the 21/2 Zuiko just isn't quite wide enough. Be aware, though,
that if you ever want to use filters with the newer version, you
MUST have the lens hood and 82mm filters. There are no filter
threads in the lens itself.

I'd say $200, particularly if it includes the hood, is a pretty
fair price. If you have to buy the hood separately, it ain't
cheap, like about $60 from B&H.
