I have one of these that has been modified for the OM cameras. It works very
well if the receiver is fastened to the camera at the tripod mount socket.
If that connection is not made the operation is erratic. I suspect there is
a ground of some kind through that connection. /jim

Hi Lee,
              Polaroid claims 40 feet max  for the pair. Something is
wrong if you only get a range of 10 feet.  Are you sure you have good
batteries in the transmitter and receiver ? I use one with my OM-4 to get
close shots of birds and other animals in my back yard. I can fill the
frame with the subjects using my 21mm or 28mm lenses rather than  use a
long telephoto. I was able to control the camera  from at least 40 feet
away.
