I have both. Unless I have to carry it a long way, I use the f/2. But that
is mostly because I paid so much for it. ;-)

If I feared it could be stolen or damaged, i would use the 2.8. Otherwise I
would be using the /2. For what I've read it's better lens.
Another thing to keep in mind is if i choose a kit to fit only 49 or only
55mm filters, but IMHO this is not that important.
