Was in Cameras West's Bellevue store last evening (hadn't been in awhile).
Had a very pristine 35~70/3.5~4.5 in the case tagged at $145. I made them
an offer that I thought was quite generous (particularly in light of their
recent eyebuy history), and the salesman just blankly stared at me and said
'prices are not negotiable'.
Of course I had just pointed out to him that the Tamron '800/8' mirror lens
in the case was really a 500mm, and he seemed irritated that I'd notice such
an insignificant error.
Coincidently, every purchase of used gear that I've made there in the past
has involved 'negotiating' to one degree or another.
