The key of which film to use is in the printing. If you are having prints
made on a color minilab, use the Kodak films, as they have the orange mask.
the Ilford films don't, so it's hard to get a good neutral black.

On the other hand, if printing on black and white paper, use Ilford, as the
exposure times with the orange mask will be measured in geological eras.

i believe kodak T400CN is set up to print on b/w paper, the rest (b&w+, the entire portra CN series) is set for color paper.
