Less off-topic than some excursions... anyone have experience with the nice little Olympus Stylus Epic? I bought one for my son some years back, and it recently started acting up - specifically, it sometimes advances more than one frame at a time, and it has gone into the "auto-rewind" mode about 2/3 of the way through a roll of film. Other than that, it still performs well and takes good photos. I'm guessing that the film advance uses some optical means to judge when the film has moved far enough for the next exposure (counting sprocket holes??) - there certainly doesn't seem to be a "metering sprocket" like there is in the OM bodies. The question I have is, is this something that can be fixed by a cleaning, or should I just buy him another one (new or used)? I've been thinking of buying one for myself, before Olympus discontinues this little gem - might as well order two!

Any insights will be appreciated, as will opinions, experiences, or general wise-cracks!

Curt
