SBS is a pretty unique aussie TV channel, been around maybe 20 years... in
oz you get basically 5 channels, two of them funded by the govt..... a
large proportion of SBS's staff are translators, and their claim to fame is
feeding in television from overseas... one night you might be watching
subtitled TV from finland, the next hong kong, yemen, etc, etc... really
good international news coverage... i'd give up the 55 channels i get in
san fran for SBS in a heartbeat... ;)
