Have you tried the Zinc air Wein cells? They make direct replacement for the 625 photo battery. My dad uses them and has been happy with the results in his nikon gear.

Ultimately, I'd recommend  the conversion kit to use the silver cells.

Lately it is difficult to get Mallory PX625 batteries for my OM-1. So I had to use PX625A alkaline instead. Since then the meter gives me 1-2 stops overexposure readings when compared with my handheld Gossen Luna Pro SBC or my other bodies. Any suggestions?
