Of course, you could always buy a Tamron SP 24-48mm f3.5-3.8, which I have
been very happy with. Weighs a bit more (346g), bigger (64.5 x 65.5mm), but
makes framing much easier. Makes a good two lens kit together with either a
90mm macro or my 50-250mm ATX Tokina (also macro to 1.45).
