I picked up a 100mm f/2.8 E.Zuiko at a cheap price, because it has a pretty
good sized chip out of the edge of the front element... a test roll has
shown the lens to produce good images at all apertures, and I wanted the
lens as sort of a bang-around lens to go with a "user" OM-2n, perhaps to
keep in my Jeep for the occasional unplanned photo opportunity. My question
is, what sort of image degradation should I expect due to the damaged front
element? Flare? Less contrast? loss of sharpness? Other than the chip, the
lens seems to be in good shape, with only a little internal dust.
Thoughts and comments are welcomed!
