What system are you running?
I'm on 8.6 on my 6500/300 and there´s nothing similar to what was described.
But for Mac OS X maybe, search Knowledge Base, Mac-L Discussion List or
Version Tracker.
I usually filter spam loging in the server and deleting the obvious ones. A
little slower but you may find some other stuff which is not spam but you'd
like not to download to your disk.
