It's a lens-by-lens sort of thing.

On a very few Zuiko lenses, including your 28mm 3.5 and the old 50mm Macro, the 
body of the lens (with the filter ring/aperture ring/distance ring/et al) is 
separate from the helicoid (to which the mount is attached).  They are held 
together by three internal screws.  It's rare, but if these screws work loose 
the front half of the lens will move in relation to the mount.

On most Zuiko lenses the body is part of the helicoid, so there's no way that 
can happen.  Some are "tighter" than others -- there's always _some_ play in 
the helicoid -- but they _can_ "wear out", so that the guides move within their 
tracks, or the threads of the helicoid get "sloppy".  I don't think it really 
_hurts_ anything -- they'll still take good photos, but....
